PARD would like to thank The Jumpstart Sport Relief Fund for their monetary donation in 2021. This money was used to purchase PPE supplies such as gloves and masks to ensure PARD could reopen safety amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
The Kiwanis Club of Peterborough are a Silver Sponsors for three year running now! As part of PARD's horse sponsorship program, Silver Sponsors such as Kiwanis provide funds to care for the horses, specifically the annual vet and farrier costs for one of our beloved equine friends. PARD has received a yearly Community Investment Grant from the City of Peterborough since 2015 to support our operational expenses, in particular the care and maintenance of our horses, who are our most important therapy aids.
PARD was a proud recipient of Ontario Trillium Foundation funding to enhance rider experience and safety, and to strengthen the capacity and enhance the sustainability of the organization. This five-year grant allowed PARD instructors to attend specialized training seminars to advance their training and certification. It also funded volunteer recruitment and orientation, specialized equipment for riders and horses, a fifth horse for the program, and so much more!
In 2015 PARD was gifted a $1000 gift card from the Home Depot Canada Foundation to be used towards the construction of one of the two outbuilding currently being erected on site. The gift card has made trips into town for supplies less of a burden on our volunteers who usually have to wait to be reimbursed. So thank you Home depot and Home Depot Canada Foundation, we truly appreciate your support!
